Deconstructing the role of HIPK2 in DNA repair and genome stability
This project aims at clarifying mechanisms and pathways influencing DNA double-strand break repair pathway choice and at understanding how these are interlinked to cell fate choice upon DNA damage. We have identified novel signalling modules that impact on DSB repair upon DNA damage. These modules will be mechanistically and functionally analysed in the context of endogenous lesions with a focus on the replicative stress response.
